10 World's Favorite Animals

Animals are indeed a treasure to human beings they usually give us ohs and ahs, when we see them perform awesome tricks in circus, give us thrills when we see them in zoo being fed by caretaker or simply by mere picture taking with them.

Animals that are wild play a vital part in ecological system, while the tamed usually give us joy and excitement when we have them as pets.

Perennial favorite dogs and cats are common in big cities like London, Paris and key cities in U.S.

Our canine and feline friends are considered part of the family in some households in North America and Europe, they fill loneliness with their charm, warmth and even stubbornness. They are our common companions when hustle and bustle of life is taking its tool on us.

What if you were given to choose what animal is your favorite? Which animal will reign supreme? I hope your bet make it to the top ten though.

The man’s best friend which is the dog will surely have a distinct advantage, but surprises do happens. In a survey conducted by Independent of London, the large and ferocious tiger emerged as the most favorite animal in the planet edging out the dogs and other favored animals. More than 52,000 was surveyed and the canines just wound up a still decent finish at third place. Tigers the largest feline in the world is commonly found in Asia and Africa. Wealthy nations in Asia are called Tiger Economies hehehe a testament that Tigers have a great reputation.

Nosing out the dogs for the second place is dolphin, considered to be the most intelligent marine animal in the world. Dolphins are swift and fast, and first utilized SONAR ahead of man. They perform tricks in some marine parks and they are elegant and generous entertainers.

Checking in fourth place is the horse. The equines, especially those built for racing are one of the most well taken care of mammals in the world; they are housed in an air-conditioned room, trained under the watchful eyes of their owners, advance technology is employed with their medical needs, handled and pampered with diets and supplement that will inevitably made them healthy 24/7.

The lion dubbed as the “King of the Jungle,” is at fifth place. The male lion which sports a mane is the one that guard their territory from intruders, while the females hunt the prey for the whole pack to eat. Lion’s voracious appetite is consists of wildebeests, impalas, zebras and other wild grazing animals, hmm… what a treat hahahaha, want some, it'll definitely tastes like chicken, wakikik.

Collaring the sixth spot is the deadly snake, although packed with venom that could kill man and small animals, snakes are actually a farmer’s friend since they stalks on mice and rats. When you’ll come across with a snake it is wise not to move since snakes are sightless and but can detect moving object, and capable of inflicting lethal and paralyzing attack. Moreover snakes are different from pythons, snakes uses venom to kill its prey while pythons utilized constriction on their hapless victims.

Hugging the limelight at seventh place is the mighty elephant. Who doesn’t know Dumbo, hehehehe especially those who are young at heart? Dumbo is a Walt Disney cartoon character that has very huge ears. Elephants often appear in circus, and their cleverness is indeed very impressive. In India and some countries in the South East Asian region, elephants are used by people to help them with their work in farms or they are simply utilized as a means of transportation. The world’s largest land mammal, this colossal creature, is the only animal that visits their deceased relatives.

Checking in at eighth spot, is the playful chimpanzee or the chimps. A chimpanzee, the animal that is often used as guinea pigs in scientific laboratory is one of the most intelligent in the planet. So also, chimps are often made as a pet in some South East Asian countries. However chimps, was observed to snatch other clan’s juvenile and devour their captured prey mercilessly. Chimpanzee is one of the few animals on earth that uses tools on their way of life.

The chimpanzee’s cousins the orangutan takes the ninth place. Orangutan’s odd looks and truly tamed features made them one of the center of attraction in zoos and even in eco-parks.

Rounding up the top ten is the whale. The largest mammal in the world, the whale is a gentle creature that has a good parenting habits. Like the dolphins, whales can display flashes of brilliance and intelligence.

The world’s famous whale-watching site is found in Donsol, Sorsogon, Philippines which is voted by Time Magazine Asia as the Best Animal Encounter in 2004.
