The Foods Your Dogs Shall Not Eat

Human beings are indeed versatile eaters; they have a wide range of foods to eat from a native delicacy and even craze, to a very sophisticated and truly lavished cuisines. People tend to get fascinated with the foods they eat just like what the Japanese and Korean does with their delectable and palatable cuisines and menus as they dished out well their cooked foods in a fashion it is not only tempting but also very pleasant to eat. Many people tend to be choosy and health conscious too, especially with the foods they consume as they keep an eye at all times the sugar, calorie, salt and fat contents or levels of the food they ingest depending on each health conditions. However, foods that may be very sumptuous and truly yummy to us human beings might pose great health problems to our pets, especially the dogs. In order for you to know what I mean, here are some foods your pets must avoid to keep them healthy and literally alive and kicking.

Who will resists the sweetness provided by chocolates, only the diabetics and those on diet perhaps. Imagine yourself indulging with melt in your mouth stuffs that truly gives you pleasure while devouring chocolates whether it is Hersheys’ or Baby Ruth’s or perhaps dark browns or whites, or even perhaps an ingredient in your ice cream or cakes, yummy as it is indeed, and truly enjoying to eat, though. Chocolates may be sensuous and many value them for it contains chemicals that can serve as an aphrodisiac of sorts, that will surely boosts stamina and endurance nyahahaha.

Too bad chocolates are no good to your canine friends, for hey contain theobromine, which is commonly found in cocoa bean and is harmful to your dogs. Also known as Xantose, theobromine is an alkaloid that is present in tealeaves and cola nuts. Although doesn’t pose any real threat to humans, theobromine has vicious effects to your pets. Theobromine is known to slowdown your dog’s and even cat’s metabolism that may lead to poisoning.

A pound of milk chocolate can poison a 20-pound dog while a half-pound for a 10-pounder dog. Two to three chocolate bars may poison a 10-pound dog. A pair of one-ounce chocolate squares of baker’s chocolate can be lethal to a 10-pound dog.

So if you want your dog to be safe in sound with chocolates, keep the chocolates away from them. Symptoms of theobromine poisoning, related to eating chocolates includes: nervousness, hypertension, diarrhea, uncontrollable urination, panting and seizures. If your pet is not properly well taken good care of from an eating frenzy with chocolates (for canines loves chocolates as much as human does) this might lead to unwanted death.

Like the chocolates, grapes and raisins can be toxic to your dogs, for these might trigger acute kidney failure in canines. Since kidneys plays a crucial in filtering toxins (same manner in human’s kidney), but when is bothered and not functioning well, though, the accumulated toxins in your dogs might lead to death.

This food spices that makes our food really gastronomic can promote anemia as it triggers the depletion of red blood cells in the body. When the number of real blood cells is reduced, the oxygen in various parts of the body and even in muscle tissues will be affected. A small amount of garlic and onion given regularly to your dogs may promote nutritional deficiencies that are harmful to your dogs. Always see to it that you check the foods you offer to your dogs. You should avoid list of foods like Onion soup and other food items with garlic or onion (even flavorings), when you are buying for your dog’s foods and even snacks.

Another canine killer that lurk in the market is the avocado. This versatile fruit that is very healthful to humans have opposite effect to your dogs, for they can stimulate breathing difficulties because of lack of oxygen. This also induces fluid accumulation in pancreas and heart.

Tomatoes, potatoes and rhubarbs should be prevented from being eaten by your dogs, for this contains oxalate that may develop abnormalities in the nervous system, kidneys and digestive tract. Farm products especially green tomatoes, green potatoes, potato skins and tomato leaves and plants are highly toxic as these produce may lead to tremors, seizure and worse, heart arrhythmia. Keep all of these foods strictly for family consumption as much as possible, if you genuinely love your pet.

Some foods that are good for your cats are not good for your dogs. For instance, the cat food is enriched with fats and proteins, and when consumed by dogs it may cause deadly pancreatitis. Aside from this, cat foods is high in fats that is not good to your dog’s diets especially bacon and ham. Nuts and walnuts can also stimulate pancreatitis. Peanuts may also induce lethal allergic reaction.

Your dog shouldn’t eat mushrooms for it contains toxins that may result to problems in many organ systems such as the kidney, liver and brain. The causes of eating mushrooms may lead to abnormalities in the nervous system seizure, coma, vomiting and death.

Alas, rounding other foods that are harmful to your dog’s diet includes: raw eggs, egg white, raw fish, nutmeg, salt, tobacco, liver, iron supplements (of humans), and chewing gum (contains xylitol which is not good too for your dogs), Items that are potentially dangerous to be consumed by your well-loved dog should be kept away from them to preserve their health and to enable them to live longer.
