What lies ahead when you lie, lie and lie
Although hatching lies is bad, there are still ies here, there and everywhere...
Devious corporations, corrupt officials and cheating husband or wife have one thing in common, that is, they make lies to sustain their caprices. Twisting facts, white lies, omissions of certain details and bending of truths seemed common in many people these days.
The boundary between what is true and not true is so thin. Numerous individuals tend to do what it takes to eke out an advantage in almost anything they do even at the expense of lying whether they are on their homes, workplace or elsewhere.
Our society is going to do the dogs already. There are politicians out there that are given awards and recognitions even deep in their hearts they know that they are using clout and power just to make them rich and influential. Character assassination and black propaganda is common in workplace and political arena. Some deceitful corporations will even advertise their products well in different platforms like TV, radio and in print mediums but at the end the buying public is shortchanged with their purchases. In the daily life of most people, lying seemed irresistible and done numerous times in a given day. In entertainment lying is so rampant, and you don’t even know who is telling the truth.
So what happened to the moral fiber and norm of the society? Now most people are not aware with the line that divides what is right from immoral. People resort to doing things that is good on their eyes, and this makes them amoral.
Why people lie?
People lie to get favors, power and influence. Favors may take many forms like an illicit affair, lucrative deals, high marks in school, and the list goes on.
An individual will lie to suppress the truth, to save his skin or to cover his mistakes.
An individual will lie just to please other people. Exaggeration can lead to lying and this can also be considered as twisting the truth.
An individual will lie to make him look nice into the eyes of the other people.
One would lie for the sake of money.
Most of the time one would make lies to protect interest.
How to catch a liar?
You can spot a person that is not telling the truth when he scratches a part of his body especially his nose. Our body tends to secrete some glands when we are lying and eventually makes some part of our body to be itchy. This technique is often used in interrogating criminals.
Also, when someone is lying or spreading some nasty false information against you, the tendency is the liar cannot look straight into the eyes and at the same time he may feel uneasy. Eye contact is also the key in discerning a proverbial liar but bear in mind though that there are hardened liars that can easily hide their feelings and has the gall he to look straight into the eye. Other manifestations of people who lies or saying against their will are blushing, telling nonsense alibis or lame excuses, sloppiness and instant burst of anger.
What will happen when you are fond of making lies?
If people will catch you making some lies:
This will inevitably hurt your credibility as people will no longer trust you.
You will certainly hurt people’s feelings.
Lies might mount resentments to others.
You will have some feeling of guilt and you might find difficulty in getting your sleep during night time. The guilt inside you will make you feeling disturbed and disoriented.
Lies can be the cause of big quarrels and worse even fierce fights in the coming days.
Spreading unfounded rumors might cause harm to the people around you and even to you.
If you suppress the truth this will be injustice to others.
Thanks a lot for the read!
