Updated May 5, 2010, Manila - This article contains latest surveys in the Philippines conducted by SWS and Pulse Asia, the number of Facebook fans of the candidates' official websites. The Philippines’ freewheeling democracy will again be subjected to an acid test, as most Filipinos 18 years and above are expected to troop to their respective precincts to casts their ballots this coming May 10, 2010 to exercise their rights to vote. The momentous day will indeed be one of the glorious days in the Philippine History, Why? Because for the very first time Filipinos will be voting using the Precinct Count Optical Scan (PCOS), an automated voting system used by many industrialized countries worldwide that finally made its way to the country. A history of sorts as it is, since the past elections held in the country was counted manually that takes backbreaking efforts in a span of few months, before the final winner for various positions is declared. The Philippine electoral process being held in the country is indeed unique. Expect festive mood to lord it over across the land. Additionally, the candidates especially those Presidential bets are expected to use all tricks in the books just to get an edge over their rivals. True enough, most of the candidates gets exposure in television and radio ads proportional to their campaign funds to the hilt. The Internet technology is not spared too as the various Presidentiables finds Facebook, Friendster and their own respective website as a way of extending their campaigns to the Filipinos all over the Philippines. The various candidates is now in full blast, scouring the country campaigning to the best of their capabilities using every weapon in their arsenal to woo the voting public, that are, the Filipinos. As expected the Presidential candidates are at their elements employing efficiently their wits, charm, gimmicks, funds and even using what is on their pockets to sustain their truly taxing campaigns.
With just almost one month away from the May Elections, the Presidential bets were off and running, but let us try to use some sorts of parameters, to discern which of them is getting the most out of their respective campaigns and popularity, in other words, to know who is hot and who is not, if we will use the surveys, and the most number of supporters, as our yardstick of gauging who is leading so far in the Philippine Presidential derby.

Congratulation Noynoy!
Pls.
Ninoy and Estrada are now leading as the partial tally of votes are counted this moment. I just hope my bet will won and be announced officially. Good luck to all of the candidates who have played a fair fight.
Gibo is Ninoy alike.
"TO ALL FILIPINO PEOPLE PLEASE VOTE HIM AS OUR NEW PRESIDENT OF OUR BELOVED COUNTRY. hE MIGHT NOT PASSED ANY LAWS (AS LIKE OTHER'S DECTATORS SAYS) WHILE HE WAS IN SERVICE BUT STILL WE'RE LUCKY ENOUGH THAT HE IS NOT CORRUPT OFFICIAL."
oh..lucky enough that he is not corrupt? Noynoy is paid by the gov't, but what did he do? he just sat and slept in the senate and received money from the gov't..is that what you call not corrupt? he received money but did nothing in his 9 year term?think again!! think intelligently! why don't you find another candidate who is not corrupt?..why don't you study Sen Gordon?don't just search in the internet about the issues, find the truth!
GORDON LANDSLIDE WIN!!!!
GORDON TAYO!!!!!
the lapses of both the supplier Smartmatic and the Comelec could ruin the automated elections
maging vigilant po tayo bukas, posible may dayaan..... ang mga mandaraya mga taga gobyerno din - COMELEC under this administration.. magtulungan po tayo..HONEST ELECTION lang po.
MIND CONDITIONING ANG SURVEY NA TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SWS has a history of coming out with survey numbers that do not jibe with the actual vote count, as well as predicted poll winners. Neither is SWS known for its accuracy in its percentages count, when compared to actual and official poll results.
It was PMP senatorial bet Francisco “Kit” Tatad who recently revealed that members of the Aquino clan and former associates of the late president Corazon Aquino hold prominent positions in SWS and Pulse Asia either as directors or stockholders.
The list includes Aquino relatives Rafael Cojuangco Lopa, Pulse Asia director and former president; Antonio “Tonyboy” Cojuangco, who initially financed its operations; and Jose de Jesus, former DPWH secretary of the Aquino presidency and incorporator/director of both Pulse Asia and SWS.
MGA BUGOK NA GUMAWA NITONG THREAD NA ITO!

You are so right...smart voters don't go with surveys. I enjoyed this update, thanks so much!!

@gie GAYAYA LANG KA! You don't know what you're talking about!
same as above with all the debates i honestly think either GIBO or Sen.Gordon are the best to represent our country. They are very impressive and very intelligent people who will make us all proud to be a FILIPINO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
first of all what change did the aquino family do for philippines as a whole-NOTHING!!!!!!! except topple the Marcos government WHY?-because people need the change ! Did they really make the philippines more progressive and stable?NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so people why are you voting for one of them again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i reside in canada for over 30 years and i hate to see that we don't learn from our mistake by voting a person because of popularity.Don't you guys see it !!!! how many years have they govern our country any changes??????????????? please vote wisely for the sake of our beloved country so that we can progress and help our people from poverty . look most of us are well educated and yet we are one of the poorest country in Asia-isn't that a SHAME????????????????? Can't you see what Sen.Gordon did in his area?-now that is telling a lot- vote for someone that can do the job and not by popularity, I hate to see how we are going down the drain because of popularity. Also,i don't think our airpot should have been name after them-Manila would still be a better choice
because that's the capital of our country. no offense but what
did Mr. Aqiuno do to deserve this honor??????????????? i remember i was a young kid there was always rally at my school because of activism which he introduced.PLEASE PEOPLE VOTE WISELY and think of the many generation that will be affected by your chioce.
i have read all your comments...grabe ang lupet nyong mag comment...especially who is actually on the side of this BRO., be cool guys. its a "survey"...merely what we see and read on-line is just and information. you will never know what will happen. i just hate people who is so defensive i know your just stating your opinions
surveys are difficult to believe since it is too impossible that the people ask during the survey could actually represent the heterogeneous society. Naging makatutuhan lang sometimes kasi naging avenue ang survey for conditionaing the public. Commissioned surveys should be prohibited for fair and honest election.
Bro. eddie Leads FACEBOOK but why still 2% lol
something fishy around here
and look at the mock election done in the University of the Philippines. You know what happens when you get all the educated in one place?
You get Richard 'Dick' Gordon taking 1st place followed my Gibo.
Mabuhay ka ! NOYNOY AQUINO, our next Philippine President
TO THE ADMIN OF THIS SITE:
PLEASE change the website address for the presidential candidate bro eddie c villanueva. it should be http://broeddie.ph
please next time do more researching. you are always posting the latest updates in villanueva's facebook, and it is impossible that you didnt see this site address in his fan page located below his profile picture and always and everyday being posted by the fan page admin and by the fans.
I AM HOPING FOR YOUR IMMEDIATE RESPONSE AND ACTION.

BANGON PILIPINAS VOLUNTEER
30 million ba representing the whole philippine electorate? i think not.
puro survey, survey. they real survey happens in May 10.. so wag nyong ipagyabang tong survey na to.
:) GOD is the GREATEST! so why believe in surveys? Believe in GOD...
Why didnt you include the Campaign and Images Co. Survey commissioned by Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting, wherein Gibo ranked 2nd on their latest survey conducted March 28 - April 4? The said company is more credible than SWS and PULSE ASIA, and is commissioned by British and American Firms/Businesses together with PPCRV?? Whats wrong with all these news..
I think Villar will not win this election. Magiging Vista Land of Manny Villar ang PInas.
I don't believe in your survey... How come bro. eddie leads in hongkong if he ranks 4th or 5th? don't condition the minds of the people here. You'll get your consequences someday... please let's change our nation. enough of traditional politics....
anu ba yan,.. bakit sa nauna c BRO EDDIE d kasama dyan..it's unfair ...pati sa media d manlang ibalita iyon samantalang yang mga pulse at iba pa ang bilis ibalita..
ew. erap naunahan c gibo? mas mangunguna pa c villanueva kay erap dapat noh! LA KWENTANG SURVEY TO!
surveys are stupid, like the people who believe it.
BIAS ang survey! lol idc about those stupid surveys hindi lahat ng surveys eh naka post d2.
@neri, who is abnoy, look who is talking? I wonder why the Phil. is still one of the most corrupt county in the world because of your outlook in life, MS NERITOKE.
i wonder why abnoy aquino does not undergo such pschological test so he could prove it true or false he has the looks of being such. you know what i mean
Hey I found out...
broeddie.ph ranks 1,084,928th worldwide and
6,852nd in the philippines!!!!
Take a closer look at their website performance...
bro. eddie could have been 3rd!
the official website for bro.eddie is bro.eddie.ph!
No matter how high your ratings are but if it was only inherited it will mean nothing rather than those who have low ratings but earned it from their own...
to survey companies,.go to every campaign rally of Bro. Eddie thats real survey.
Smart voters don't believe in surveys. After all, they are all sponsored. Be vigilant. Not everything that you or hear in the media is right. There's more than meets the eye.
thank you GH, it is always good to know what is happening there, great hub, Maita
Hey GH, got a great hub here. Wonder how their ratings will go now that there's a rumor that Gibo will quit, I don't know, the race or the party chairmanship. Your guess is as good as mine :).
